Today, I have had a very good day.
I have been to tahhn with a few very good friends and been to someone's house...
...and we made COOKIES!
I'm annoyed now that I didn't take a picture, as I would've liked to put them up, but rest assured they were very yummy :).
They did end up a little flat, but what the hey. It was funny making them!
I think it's nice sometimes to just go and chill somewhere - to muck around with friends and not have anything planned, or anything you need to do.
It was a pretty spontaneous - 'let's make cookies!' - kinda thing.
But I'm very glad it happened.
I love my friends :).

When it started we had high hopes,
Now my back's on the line, my back's on the ropes...

Holidays...
So, yeah. It's Friday night - and we finished school today. I'm relieved - I've felt myself slowly getting more and more out of it as this week has gone on. The extra work piled on by my music and graphics GCSE courses aren't doing me any good really "/.
(Well, I know they are really, 'cause I'm learning stuff that will help me in later life (or so they say ¬¬) but it's a bit of a pain.)
But, to be fair, though I complain, I am loving them both :). We're just starting our musicals in one music class, and starting indian compositions in another, so there's lots of composing and performing to do - my two favourite bits of music :D.
Graphics is very interesting too - we're doing little projects to get us prepared for our BIG coursework piece. 'Paper Engineering' is the title of the bit we're doing now - yeah, granted, it doesn't sound overly exciting, but it is when you're: 1. a nerd (like me), 2. sad (like me) and 3. love all the graphics work (like me).
Also, along with all this kerfuffle (is that the right spelling? I hope so.) there's a talent show being put on at school. Cue a chance for me to perform something I've always wanted to: Feeling Good. It was written a while ago, but we're doing the Muse version - it's upbeat, modern and amazing. Check it out on Youtube if you haven't heard it.
---
It's Valentine's Day tomorrow, and although I have my Valentine, she's sadly going away to London for the weekend, so I'm all on my mono :(.
Even though I know she's only a few hours away, another V-Day on my tod makes me feel very lonely.
Never mind.
I know another person who's all on their tod :P so I'll drop her a line and we can be loners together.
---
Well, I believe that's all I need to say for today... :)
Seeing as it's half term, and I've got sod all to do, I'd imagine I'll be writing here a lot over the next week.
I'm loving it :).
NB
And I've lost my page again
- I know this is so rare, but I'll try my luck with you...

Sorry, but there's something I need to get off my chest...
So today's Sunday. Normally Sundays are a rest day - you know, lazing around and doing nothing after wearing yourself out all week.
However, today we've got a rehersal for a play. :O
How dare they interrupt my Sunday?
We've occasionally done Sunday rehersals before for other plays, and though I complain, I don't (normally) really mind.
This play...
This one is, to be honest, not a very good one.
I normally enjoy all the stuff we do, but this play... ARGH!
It makes me want to rip my hair out!
I'm playing an Irish cook called, get this, Sam O'Nella.
Yeah, it's funny the first time. But the humour soon runs dry.
The story is pointless - something about some islanders trying to fight female pirates with a really cheesy tale of love intertwined in it.
Why???
It's basically an excuse to rip off every Gilbert and Sullivan song ever written.
Why???
I'm sorry this is turning into a rant, but it's something which is really annoying me.
In the past, we've done:
Bugsy Malone
Half a Sixpence
West Side Story
Wizard of Oz
And even the few G&S ones we have done have been pretty good fun.
Why, then, did they choose to do the only G&S play not written by the pair?
Instead, it's an 'homage' - and I bet Gilbert and Sullivan are turning in their graves.
*sigh* Nobody can be bothered with it.
There's no drive at all - I think the only thing keeping people going is the hope that we'll get a better play next time.
Never mind.
---
In unrelated news, in school tomorrow we've got our first lunchtime concert - basically, it's a chance to get one of our coursework performances done which can count towards our final GCSE grade.
I'm feeling pretty good about mine - I'm singing Stars from the beautiful musical Les Mis...
But somebody else has decided (purely out of spite, may I add) that he's going to sing the same.
However, I'm not going to panic, or worry - I'm going to insist that I sing it before him.
That'll show him ¬¬
He's being an all-round not-very-nice person at the moment.
Hopefully, if I manage to do better than him at this, he'll give over and go back being an all-round strange but not-really-that-bad person.
Either that, or he'll get worse.
"/
What can ya do?
Well, that's all for today.
Cheers for listening to my rant :)
NB
I got a question for ya, another question for ya,
Where do ya see yourself in five minutes' time?
However, today we've got a rehersal for a play. :O

Stay
Yeah, I know I only posted earlier today, but in celebration of my first day as a blogger :) I wanted to put something up here...
If you read it, please comment and let me know what you think...
I'm dead nervous now :S
Here it is:
--------
Stay
(Verse)
I’m bored, you say, as you stare into space
Nowhere to look so I look at your face
A smile, a joke, but it’s just not enough
Taking my effort and crushing to dust
(Chorus)
How do you feel, when you tell me it’s not real?
How do you know, that I don’t care if you go?
Why do you say, that you’ll always be okay?
Why go away?
Stay
(Verse)
I love you, you say, but it don’t mean anything
It cuts me deep ‘cause you mean everything
You’re taking me hostage, tying me down
Can’t keep up, I’m gonna drown
(Bridge)
Your touch makes it better, in snow and in rain
Your kiss stops my suffering and heals my pain
(Chorus)
(Instrumental)
(Outro)
I’ve felt your pain
I’ve taken it to heart
And now I know
It’s time for a fresh start
What do you care?
What do you know?
‘Cause I can’t stay
…It’s time for me to go
---------
It's only really the first draft, sort of, but I hope you like it. :)

This Is Me
Okay... Just wanted to say hey to anybody who's reading this - and if you are, haven't you got better things to be doing? :P
I'm sorta new to the whole blogging thing, a friend of mine got me doing this, so bear with me :)
It'll take me a while to get into it, I expect.
I hope I can keep it up though, 'cause when I was younger I always seemed to want to keep a diary but never managed to, so I suppose if I can do this I'm realising a childhood dream!
Me: I don't think there's anything particularly special about me - I'm fifteen, very musical (I love to sing + play guitar), clever (if I do say so myself - and I just did) and I worry a lot. That's me in a nutshell to be honest :).
The name: Blood and Moonlight. A bit sinister, I suppose you might say. There is a reason behind it - my last name's Blood, for a start. Somebody (you know who you are!) convinced me that it had to be in the title for this thing.
The Moonlight bit comes from something that's happened very recently in my life, and is sort of a big deal for me. I'll go into it in more detail in my next post, probably, but in short it's this:
Me and a friend of mine have started a band, we're called Moonlight (or Moonshine, not quite decided yet) and it's going pretty well :) there's only the two of us at the mo, but we're getting in two others with a bit of luck + then we'll be well on our way to stardom and fame!
... I hope.
Yeah, so, that's me :) I've been rambling a while so I think I'l shut up now...
If you happen to be reading this, please comment so I don't feel lonely!
More posts to come soon :) watch this space!
(Or the space above it, or below it, wherever the next post'll end up)
